Marek Koyš joins Savills to strengthen the company’s advisory services in strategic sustainability and ESG compliance

Marek Koyš joins the Building & Project Consultancy team at Savills as Lead Sustainability Consultant. He is a strategic sustainability advisor with in-depth knowledge of European regulations and market trends. Marek brings extensive international experience from both Europe and Asia, where he supported corporations and startups in implementing legislative and market requirements related to sustainability and innovation.

“Marek will be working closely with Barbora Jansová, who has built and established key relationships and processes in the field of ESG and sustainability during her three years at Savills. Strengthening our team with such an experienced consultant enables us to offer clients a comprehensive range of services – from construction, technical due diligence, and construction monitoring to ESG advisory and building certifications – all in line with current market and regulatory requirements,” says Jan Jurčíček, Head of Building & Project Consultancy at Savills.

Before joining Savills, Marek worked as a consultant for leading Czech and international clients. He spent more than seven years in Asia (in Shenzhen and Hong Kong), where he ran his own business and later began advising technology and innovation companies on sustainability. This experience gave him a strong international perspective and the ability to connect strategic, technical, and commercial thinking. He has also worked with Impact Hub and the international consultancy The Natural Step, one of the pioneers in sustainability advisory. Marek occasionally contributes to the international discussion on responsible business by adapting the “Doughnut Economics” concept to the Czech context.

I look forward to helping investors, developers, and occupiers navigate and clarify the often complex framework of European legislation, and better understand its risks and opportunities from both a regulatory and business standpoint. I believe this will make responsible asset management easier for our clients and demonstrate that sustainability can be both practical and economically meaningful,” adds Marek Koyš, Lead Sustainability Consultant at Savills.
