Savills Germany is expanding its industrial business line and, following the successful establishment of teams in Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Cologne, will now also have a team in Frankfurt. As of 1 September 2021, Simon Hölldobler will be responsible for the development of the new department as Director Industrial Land Acquisition. His main task will be the nationwide acquisition of commercial and industrial land.
Until recently, Hölldobler worked for Colliers International in Frankfurt, where he specialised in the acquisition and marketing of commercial and industrial space. He joined the company in 2015, after successfully completing his Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
"Due to the high demand for advice in the industrial sector, we are continuously expanding our industrial business line. Especially because of its central location in Europe, the logistics sector in Germany is of great importance. Furthermore, the past year has shown us how important the sector is for the domestic economy," explains Panajotis Aspiotis, Managing Director at Savills Germany, and adds: "Our aim is to build strong industrial teams throughout Germany. With the new industrial land acquisition division, we can now provide users, developers and investors with our services during their strategic site planning process."
"I am very excited about my role and the opportunity to build a new business unit within the industrial business line for Savills and I am convinced that as a team we will successfully establish ourselves in the market," says Hölldobler.
At the beginning of August 2021, the Cologne industrial team, led by Jan Stemshorn, hired Gonzalo Espinoza as a consultant. His primarily role is marketing industrial parks and light industrial products. During his training to become a real estate agent, he worked in various departments at JLL.
