In his new role, Tomasz will identify opportunities to streamline Savills Poland’s business operations through the use of the latest technologies and to develop proptech services for clients.

In his previous role as Senior Business Analyst and Database Architect at Savills, Tomasz Buda contributed to the implementation of one of the most cutting-edge IT tools in Poland for the automation of real estate valuation processes. Prior to joining the company, Tomasz worked for mBank, where he helped design mortgage lending systems, and Inekon Systems where he was responsible for programming business intelligence tools. Tomasz holds a degree in IT and Management from the University of Łódź.

“There’s been lots of buzz around proptech recently. However, real estate has traditionally lagged behind other sectors when it comes to embracing high-tech innovation. For this reason, I’m very pleased that we decided to put more focus on innovation and that we have been able to entrust this task with an in-house expert who is experienced in implementing advanced technology solutions. Tomasz has a deep understanding of IT and is able to evaluate the usefulness of proptech tools for both Savills and our clients,” said Kamil Kowa, Board Member and Head of Corporate Finance & Valuation, Savills Poland.

Savills has embraced proptech globally for a number of years. Two years ago the company launched Workthere, developed by a Savills graduate, which helps businesses find flexible, co-working and serviced office space across Europe, America and Asia, and the Knowledge Cubed platform which helps corporate occupiers understand and manage their global real estate portfolio. Savills is also investing in technology through its investment into proptech start-ups such as VU.CITY, which applies computer graphics (CGI) to create 3D models of buildings and cities and iCondo, which helps condominium residents and management streamline their day-to-day operations.

Having created the position of Innovation Manager, Savills Poland is now planning to analyse opportunities to implement selected international proptech tools on the Polish market and to develop local proptech solutions.
