Woonhave buys Dutch residential portfolio from Syntrus Achmea for €19m

Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance has sold a Dutch residential portfolio, on behalf of one of its clients, a Dutch pension fund, to Woonhave. The ‘Quarter portfolio’ consists of 88 homes, including 32 apartments and 56 single-family homes. The assets are located in Soest, Moergestel, Hardenberg and Beilen. The agreed sales price is approximately EUR 19m.

Jasper Leydes, head of acquisitions at Woonhave, says: “In the coming years we will continue to steadily expand our portfolio with the aim of acquiring rental assets for the long term and keeping them under our own management. We purchased the Quarter portfolio because of the units’ high quality and their excellent locations within the municipalities."

Ronald Koemans, Associate Alternative Investment at Savills in the Netherlands, adds: “Thanks to the excellent quality of the units and a good mix of single-family and multi-family homes, the Quarter portfolio offered investors a unique opportunity to acquire a portfolio with a very stable cash flow, rental growth potential and the opportunity to sell off individual units. A sales process that involves a great deal of interest from both private and institutional investors requires extremely good preparation and strict process supervision. After the successful portfolio sale at the end of last year, we were delighted that we could once again advise Syntrus Achmea."

Syntrus Achmea was advised by Savills (commercial) and Core Notariaat (legal). Woonhave was advised by JLL (commercial) and Houthoff (legal).
