Iconic UK shoe retailer Dr Martens Airwair is expanding in Germany with the opening of a flagship store in central Cologne.  The outlet is located on Ehrenstraße 57 and is due to open its doors to customers in August.  International real estate advisor Savills advised the retailer in the letting of the 57 sq m, first floor unit from landlord RheinReal Immobilien Gesellschaft mbH.

Thomas A. Pasiecznik, retail director at Savills Germany, says: ″This is a great location for Dr Martens Airwair to open their first store in Cologne.  Ehrenstraße is the most important shopping street in the city with 100% occupancy so any unit that becomes available is snapped up very quickly.  It’s a similar shopping destination to London’s Carnaby Street.“

Dr. Martens Airwair currently has outlets in Berlin and Hamburg.
