International real estate advisor Savills advised a developer in the sale of a 7,100 sq m shopping centre near Saint-Omer city centre in the Pas de Calais North region of France. The property, situated next to a 22,000 sq m Auchan de Longueness shopping centre, has been purchased by Imocominvest for approximately €10m.
The development was completed in June 2010 and comprises nine retail units and a petrol station. It is fully let to tenants including Carrefour Market, who have taken 2,800 sqm of space. Other retailers in the area include Décathlon, Chantemur, Boulanger, Bricoman, Gifi, Kiabi and Tati.
Christophe Gouny, head of Savills retail team, says: "This is a great development in the centre of Saint-Omer. There are 140,000 people living in the immediate vicinity and footfall is boosted by shoppers travelling from further away to visit both this shopping centre and the adjacent Auchan supermarket."
