International real estate advisor Savills has appointed Stephan Jung to Head its Retail Agency operations across Germany. He has 20 years experience in the property industry and is based at Savills Frankfurt office.
Stephan joins the firm from Knight Frank where he was Director of Investment responsible for shopping centres and high street deals. Previously he worked for DTZ, Commerz Grundbesitz Investmentgesellschaft and HSH Real Estate AG, as well as building up the real estate operations of LARUS Asset Management. Since 2004 Stephan has also been a member of the board of German Council of Shopping Centres (GCSC) and also sits on the advisory board of ICSC Europe.
Bernd-Uwe Willer, Head of Savills Germany, says: "Stephan’s experience and knowledge of retail leasing markets in Germany is a great boost to our existing expertise. With consumer spending growth in Germany we expect to see a continued increase in activity in our top five retail markets of Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Dϋsseldorf in the final quarter of 2011."
