West Dublin's largest retail therapy destination has just got more enticing with several new lettings on board this year. The eight new lettings which have been facilitated by Savills, boast something for everyone's taste from the shoe-lover to the techno-fiend to those looking for inspiration for their letters to Santa.

Bernadine Hogan from letting agents Savills commented, "We are very happy that these new retailers have confirmed that they are coming on-board and offer shoppers even greater choice in advance of the festive season. Liffey Valley has remained a chart topper in Ireland's shopping destination list and both management and retailers have big plans to continue its success in the future".

2010 Newcomers

• Republic is taking c 5,000 sq. ft. on a new lease. Republic is a leading fashion retailer from the UK and home to big names like G-Star, Miso, Bench and Diesel. This will be Republics second store in Ireland and is set to open in November 2010..
• Barratts Shoes A new letting, occupying unit 28, the former jean scene store. Taking up c. 2,000 sq. ft. Bernadine reported that "We received about 6 rental offers for unit 28 when it became available, which demonstrates the strong demand from retailers for presence in Liffey Valley".
• Meteor.The phone giant has taken the former Budget travel shop, the unit comprises c.680 sq ft.
• Carphone Warehouse has taken some kiosk space beside their unit, creating a different telecommunications model. This is a very exciting development for the centre. The floor area comprises 150 sq ft.
• Counter Propaganda, the Irish based fashion company, currently trading in the St. Stephens Green and Blanchardstown centres, has taken a short term letting on unit 39. The retailer which primarily trades in mens fashions and is taking the market by storm.
• O2 have taken a new kiosk unit which was previously the old meteor unit. The floor area comprises 24 sq. m.
• Art N Hobby are taking a store in Liffey Valley in the former Tribe unit as a short term measure until another unit comes available in the New Year, which the landlord's agent, Savills, has negotiated.
• Ulster Bank has taken over the First Active unit in the scheme and it's working very well.  

Bernadine "Ironically it may be a case of no room at the Inn for retailers this Christmas at Liffey Vally as demand for unites in the centre increases. While this may not be great news for prospective retailers waiting for a unit to come free, the shopping experience for customers this Christmas has never been better".

The Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in West Dublin is amongst the largest shopping malls in Ireland and is part of a sprawling development in the Quarryvale area. Conveniently situated right next to the junction of the M50 and the N4 and providing ample free parking it is a popular shopping destination.
