Two leading homeware retailers have agreed deals to open at Portlaoise Retail Park; Cost Plus Sofa and Harry Corry. These two interiors retailers will be major attractions to Portlaoise Retail Park which already boasts a very strong line-up of retailers.

Anchored by Homebase, Portlaoise Retail Park opened in 2008, it comprises 10 retail units and 500 surface car park spaces and is conveniently located just off the new Southern Orbital Route. Other retailers in the scheme include Heatons, Sports World, Mothercare, Halfords and Pet Mania.

Ireland's biggest chain of sofa superstores with eight branches throughout the country, Cost Plus has secured unit 10 at Portlaoise Retail Park which measures 848 sq.m. The other major letting, Harry Corry which is a curtain and bedding specialist with 50 stores throughout Ireland and Scotland, has secured unit 8 comprising 709 sq.m.

"Cost Plus and Harry Corry are excellent new retailers to join Portlaoise Retail Park. The scheme is particularly well finished and well maintained and boasts a very strong line-up of retailers which attract shoppers from Portlaoise and the midlands area. We have just two units remaining and anticipate strong interest in them following the announcement of these two major retailers to the schemes" says Bernadine Hogan of letting agents Savills.

Portlaoise Retail Park has also secured planning for a drive thru on the site and it is expected that the road linking the park to the outer ring road will be completed in November this year. This will be an added attraction to both customers and retailers having ease of access into and out of the Park.
