Derebrook Ltd and Brookwest Developments Ltd, represented by international real estate advisor Savills and McCafferty Asset Management, has let four retail units at Stamford Quarter Shopping Centre in Altrincham to Grainger Games, Randalls Jewellers, H Samuel and HMV respectively.

Grainger Games has agreed a new 10-year lease on a 1,675 sq ft (155 sq m) store arranged over two floors.

Jewellery retailer Randalls has taken a new five-year lease on a store totalling 1,654 sq ft (153 sq m).

In addition, national retailers H Samuel and HMV have both launched trial pop-up stores at Stamford Quarter totalling 1,636 sq ft (152 sq m) and 5,392 sq ft (500 sq m) respectively.

Ken Hutchings, managing director of McCafferty, comments: “Stamford Quarter continues to attract a host of local and national retailers and the scheme is currently 97% let. The centre is rapidly establishing itself as a strong retail destination, which will be further strengthened by these new brands that will provide an appealing new draw for shoppers.”

Mike Knowles, associate director at Savills, adds “We are seeing pop-up stores become more and more visible in the current retail market and we are hopeful that the popularity of the H Samuel and HMV trial stores will lead to a more permanent tenancy agreement.”
