Savills has today confirmed it is appointed as agents to sell Halton Lea Shopping Centre.
The Shopping Centre, which was put into receivership over a year ago after the existing owners were unable to meet the requirements of their mortgage, has continued to trade successfully. A number of new initiatives including the newly rebranded Market Walk area specifically for local traders have also been started as the centre continues to go from strength to strength.
The guide price for the investment is in the region of £27.8 million. The sale will not affect the day to day trading of the centre or the staff who work there. The retailers will continue to trade in accordance with their existing leases.
Julian Clarke, one of the receivers, stated: "Halton Lea Shopping Centre is an established retail centre with loyal customers which has been positively managed for the past year. A change of ownership will further drive the centre forward as it continues to be the premier retail destination in Runcorn providing the residents with a wide range of shopping opportunities."
