Leading Irish property agent Savills has launched a new residential Lettings Division in Dublin.

“The residential lettings market has become a more important sector as people choose to rent rather than buy in the current economic climate. Significant vacancies in the apartment sector have also provided opportunities and developers are happy to rent out the units rather than sell at lower prices. Rental levels have not reduced to the same extent as sales and are down 20% from peak compared to a 50% drop in sales prices from peak” says Ronan O’Driscoll, Head of Residential at Savills.

Clarie Neary has been appointed as Lettings Manager. She will be responsible for lettings management, viewings, lease preparation, rent collection and tenant liaison. Clarie previously worked with O’Connor Shannon as a Sales & Lettings Negotiator for two years. She is an Associate member of the IAVI.

Savills is currently letting units in Tallaght Cross, a large new apartment development located at the terminus of the Luas Red Line. Monthly rents are €775 for one bed apartments and €950 for two bed units.
