The National Trust of Scotland snaps up B&Q and Dreams in Dewsbury

Aberdeen Property Investors UK Ltd on behalf of The National Trust of Scotland and represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has purchased the B&Q and Dreams units on Wilton Street in Dewsbury from ING for £5.2 million. The deal reflects a net initial yield of 7%.

The two properties are located out the outskirts of Dewsbury town centre and total 31,607 sq ft (2,936 sq m) and 7,866 sq ft (730 sq m) respectively and generate a collective annual income of £385,850.

Peter Mallinder, Investment Director at Savills, comments: "This is the first purchase for The National Trust of Scotland for over five years and as a well let property on long leases, it will make a good addition to its property portfolio."
