Mengus Stockholm AB, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has acquired the office leasehold property Järnplåten 29 (the ”Property”) from NIAM Fund IV.
The approx. 3,100 sqm property is located in Stockholm CBD at Oxtorgsgränd 2 and is partly vacant. The property was erected in 1971 and was thoroughly refurbished in 2004.
“This investment suits us very well since our strategy is to acquire partly vacant properties in Stockholm with value enhancement potential” says Hansi Danroth, Partner at Mengus.
The parties have chosen not to make the purchase price public.
Peter Wiman, Head of Research for Savills Sweden, comments: ”The transaction is a clear indication that there is a continued strong interest for properties in central Stockholm and that properties with letting potentials are interesting as well, as market rents have increased since the beginning of the year”.
