Office Space

Companies require 14 sqm of space per employee, 1.9 sqm more than before the covid

"As part of the "Quo Vadis, Prague?" office sector discussion, Savills analysed the development of the Prague market in terms of construction, economy, investment, tenants' and landlords' requirements, also in comparison with other major European cities. At first sight, it may seem that there are enough office spaces for rent in Prague and that the trend of working from home will reduce their demand. However, the numbers speak clearly - companies do not have enough office buildings to choose from and where to grow. The speakers of the discussion included Pavel Streblov from Penta, Stuart Jordan and Pavel Novák from Savills and Rebecca Webb from the London office of Savills, who provided more insights into European trends."

Central European real estate deal of the year: the Czech SCF buys a portfolio of shopping centres in Poland for more than CZK 7 billion

"Czech investment group Star Capital Finance (SCF) this week bought a portfolio of six Polish shopping centres from global investment group Cromwell Property Group. The value of the transaction is over CZK 7 billion. This is one of the largest real estate transactions in Central Europe in the last few years. With this move, SCF enters a third country and strengthens its position in the Central European retail market, where it already owns and operates shopping centers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia."
