Client Survey – March 2025

Our latest survey examines whether people’s commitment to moving home has changed, if buyers’ budgets are showing signs of improvement, and what their priorities are for their next move

We had around 950 responses to our latest client survey. It suggested that sentiment had ticked up in March as the market absorbed the political and fiscal changes of the past year. Buyer intention to move in the next 3–6 months and the net balance of those reporting increased budgets were both at levels comparable to March 2024, before the general election. Indeed, the percentage of buyers claiming their budgets had increased was the highest reported since August 2022. Despite this, around 40% of buyers and sellers cited personal income as their dominant concern. Clients also provided some interesting colour on their priorities when buying a home, as well as how far they are willing to relocate.
