Video: Spotlight on Prime Rental Markets

Welcome to the Savills Prime Rental Market report where we look at how the market performed during 2013, and what we are forecasting for 2014.

Our video with Sophie Chick addresses what happened in prime London, how the prime commuter zone performed, as well as what's next for the market in 2014.

Key findings:

  • Rental values across prime London saw a marginal increase of 0.5% over 2013, reflecting an increase in available stock rather than falling demand.
  • The best performing prime location in terms of rental growth were the London suburbs which was driven by a high number of tenants moving out from London.
  • We are forecasting for rents to increase in the prime London market in 2014, albeit slowly.
