Savills advises Aberdeen on the sale of logistics distribution centre in Ede, the Netherlands, to Dream Industrial

Savills has advised Aberdeen on the sale of a logistics distribution centre located on Celsiusstraat in Ede, the Netherlands, to Dream Industrial. The asset comprises approximately 39,569 sq m of warehouse and office space, and is situated in the Heestereng business park, strategically positioned at the intersection of the A30 and A12 motorways.

The distribution centre is fully let on a long-term basis and serves as the Benelux e-fulfilment centre for a subsidiary of the world’s largest international health & beauty retailer. Its central location provides excellent access to the Randstad region, the wider Netherlands and Germany.

The high-quality logistics complex was originally developed in 1997 and extended in 2003 and 2005. The property comprises two interconnected warehouse units with mezzanine floors and modern office space. In addition, the asset benefits from strong sustainability credentials, including a BREEAM Very Good certification, district heating connection, LED lighting and approximately 1,800 solar panels.

Dream Industrial manages more than 343 industrial assets (558 buildings) globally, representing over 6.9 million sq m of gross leasable area across Europe, Canada and the United States.

Niek Poppelaars, Head of Industrial & Logistics at Savills in the Netherlands, comments:
“As well as interest in core and value-add product, we are seeing renewed activity within the core-plus segment. Investor activity has now returned across all segments of the market, underlining continued confidence in the logistics sector.”

Aberdeen was advised by Savills (commercial) and DLA Piper (legal). Dream Industrial was advised by Greenberg Traurig LLP (legal), bbn adviseurs and DakSupport BV (technical), and Sampre (energy).
