Savills appoints Stephan Wollert from the Riksbank as new Head of Research

Savills strengthens its research capability by appointing Stephan Wollert as new Head of Research

Stephan most recently comes from the Riksbank (Sweden’s central bank), where he has worked for many years on advanced financial macro analysis, with a particular focus on developments in the financial markets and risk assessments of the fund sector within the framework of financial stability work. In particular, his work has focused on how different macroeconomic conditions affect the risk landscape and financing opportunities for various stakeholders, such as property companies.

“Whether you look at the financial system from a risk perspective, as I have done for many years, or from a real economy perspective, the real estate sector is central. That is one of the things that makes the sector so interesting. It is also an industry that is strongly influenced by both financial and macroeconomic factors, and I look forward to contributing primarily that perspective to Savills’ research work,” says Stephan Wollert.

Stephan will strengthen Savills’ analytical work through in-depth analyses of property companies’ financing conditions, market segments, and tenants’ economic sentiment. A key part of the role will also be to link Swedish market insights with Savills’ international research network.

“It is fantastic to welcome Stephan to Savills. His experience from the Riksbank will be a valuable addition for our clients and to our continued analytical work,” says Niklas Samuelsson, CEO of Savills Sweden.

Stephan Wollert will start his position on 2 March.
