The Savills office department was responsible for placing the new headquarters of the go-to platform for special objects, which now occupies the 6th and 7th floors of the Nimbler Marquês building, located at Avenida Duque de Loulé, no. 110.
This flexible lease gives Catawiki the essential versatility to support its continued growth, allowing the space to be quickly and efficiently adapted to the company's dynamic needs. In addition to benefiting from a strategic location in the heart of Lisbon, the new headquarters offers technological infrastructure and amenities aligned with the latest trends in the office market, promoting an inspiring and productive environment, with a highlight on a private terrace with panoramic views.
With more than 100,000 special objects auctioned and one million bids per week across a wide variety of categories, Catawiki receives over 10 million visitors from around the world every month, establishing itself as a key player in Europe’s digital commerce sector.
Iolanda Meehan, Chief People Officer at Catawiki, comments: “We opened our first office in Lisbon less than two years ago, and it’s been incredible to see how fast we’ve grown. With over 140 employees now based here, expanding our workspace was a natural step. The new location is central, accessible, and purpose-built for our activity-based way of working, combining functionality with a vibrant atmosphere that fosters creativity, collaboration, and focus. The space was carefully designed to meet the needs of our diverse and international team, from tech to customer service and HR – and it reflects how we work and who we are. Just as Catawiki brings together people passionate about special objects, this office brings together our people behind the scenes, enabling them to connect, thrive, and shape the future of our platform.”
Miguel Gomes, CEO of Nimbler, states: “We are proud to welcome Catawiki to two of our corporate offices at Nimbler Spaces Marquês de Pombal, spaces designed to meet the demands of growing teams, with full customization and focus on each company's identity. Catawiki’s decision to expand with us reinforces the importance of offering work environments that are flexible and fully adapted to each organization’s culture. These two floors at Nimbler were tailor-made so the team can live and work every day in a space that mirrors their values and way of working, collaborating, and innovating, their own culture, powered by Nimbler. Once again, Savills was a highly valuable strategic partner in this process, with deep knowledge of the flex market in Lisbon and ensuring an effective connection between Catawiki’s vision and Nimbler’s flexibility.”
Sofia Carvalho Costa, Offices Senior Consultant at Savills Portugal, says: “It is truly rewarding to continue supporting Catawiki's growth in Portugal after having assisted with their initial setup in the country. This new headquarters represents more than just a change of location, it is a strategic step that reflects the company's ambitious and innovative vision. The flexible leasing model was crucial in meeting the demands of a rapidly expanding operation, ensuring the agility and adaptability needed in a constantly evolving market. We are proud to contribute to strengthening Catawiki's presence in Lisbon, consolidating its position as a leader in European digital commerce. This new hub, with a stunning terrace overlooking the city, was designed to inspire and unite teams, fostering an environment conducive to collaboration, innovation, and growth.”
