Symfonia is a developer of business technology and software solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations - they stand out on the market for scalability and adaptability to a client’s growth and expansion.
“At Symfonia we have embraced hybrid working as we appreciate the benefits of flexible workplaces. At the same time, we want our teams to integrate more closely and work together in a single location,” says Wiktoria Kuc, HR Director, Symfonia.
In Poland, Symfonia has offices in Warsaw, Wrocław and Tricity. The tenant was represented in the lease of its new office in Gdansk by real estate advisory firm Savills.
“We are pleased that we were able to support Symfonia in its reorganisation process. More than 80 employees will be able to enjoy a modern, well-located office adapted to the hybrid working model in the firm’s new branch in Tricity. The location of Format in the business heart of Gdansk was the key argument in favour of choosing this complex. The immediate proximity of an urban railway station will provide comfortable and quick commute to work for employees living in Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia and nearby towns,” says Piotr Skuza, Associate Director, Office Agency, Savills Gdansk.
For Torus, this marks another lease for office space in Format signed within a short time frame.
“I am delighted that we met the expectations of another notable tenant who was very demanding and meticulous about choosing its new head office. The pace of the commercialisation of Format, which is now over 90 per cent let, is confirmation of all its strengths: its great location and transport links and the multidimensional quality of the building itself. I am confident that the new office of Symfonia will support the company in its further growth,” says Sławomir Gajewski, CEO, Torus.
An office building with a multi sports zone
Format is located in a business district of Gdansk, at the border of Oliwa and Przymorze. It has five overground storeys, with a total leasable area of close to 16,000 sq m. Format is well served by public transport – it sits right next to PKP/SKM Oliwa railway station, providing comfortable and quick commute to work for the inhabitants of Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia and nearby towns. The station also services intercity trains, which is a massive advantage with regard to business trips or meetings. The building offers ample car parking spaces - 396 in total, and also an extensive infrastructure for cyclists (parking spots outside the building, alongside dedicated zones in underground car parks, as well as changing rooms with shower facilities and lockers). 27 May saw the opening of an exterior public multi sports zone near Format with a field for playing volleyball, basketball, handball or football, a gym and a ping-pong table. The zone will promote integration and outdoor physical activity among employees and nearby residents. In the future, Torus will also build an overpass to connect Format to the SKM platform which will improve the comfort of using city rail services for the whole area.
Format has been awarded the highest Platinum rating in LEED certification and the “Obiekt bez Barier” (Facility without Barriers) certificate in recognition of its adjustment to the needs of people with disabilities. Format was designed by the Tricity Branch of APA Wojciechowski Architekci design office.
