Allianz Real Estate acquires five sustainable logistics assets, part of the Ceres portfolio

Allianz Real Estate has acquired five sustainable logistics assets as part of the European Ceres portfolio from DHL, including one in Weert, the Netherlands.

The sale-and-leaseback transaction encompasses a total of 200,000 sq m across the Netherlands, Poland and Finland. The assets will be completed between Q1 2023 and Q1 2024. The new distribution centre in Weert marks phase 2 of the development and comprises approximately 66,500 sq m.

All five distribution centres meet high sustainability standards. They are all carbon-neutral, have been awarded BREEAM Excellent certification and are compliant with EU Taxonomy.

Douglas van Oers, Co-Head Logistics & Industrial at Savills in the Netherlands, says: "We are very pleased that we, together with our international Savills Logistics & Industrial team, were able to be of assistance to Allianz Real Estate in one of their largest logistics property transactions yet."

Savills advised Allianz during the process. DHL was advised by DLA Piper and JLL.
