Savills Netherlands appoints Iris Kampers as Senior ESG Advisor

As of October 1 2021, Iris Kampers will join Savills in the Netherlands as a senior ESG advisor.

Iris will be responsible for Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) strategy and policy of Savills in the Netherlands. With her specialist knowledge, she will feed all Savills departments with information in the fields of energy consumption, climate, health, well-being, safety, policy and business strategy, and ensure that sustainability is a standard part of all local activities.

Clive Pritchard, Head of Country at Savills in the Netherlands, says: “Sustainability is linked to the work processes and activities of our entire organization. We are intrinsically motivated to contribute to a more sustainable built environment and we aim to find the balance between People, Planet and Profit. Using knowledge, data and analyses, Iris will motivate the new generation of Savills employees, and convince customers to make sustainable choices, closely cooperating with the central Savills Earth team.”

Iris Kampers: “I look forward to ensuring Savills' real estate consultants are – and keep - informed about the latest developments, trends and legal frameworks in the field of ESG and real estate, and to act as a sparring partner for the entire company. I have seen with great enthusiasm that Savills not only talks sustainably, but also wants to act sustainably, among other things by creating this position and implementing roadmaps. It is a great challenge to translate Savills' ESG strategy to the various departments, and to various services and products. I will also focus on improving internal processes in order to achieve our sustainability objectives.”

Iris has a background as an ecologist and obtained a Master's degree in Ecology and Natural Resource Management at Utrecht University. For the past 5 years she worked at Arcadis, where she advised financial institutions such as housing corporations and large investors in the form of Technical & Evironmental Due Diligence to ecological advice on biodiversity. Her background in ecology and the use of natural resources provides a solid foundation to create business cases for sustainability.
