As everyone is taking all necessary measures to guarantee the safety of employees, and to limit the further spread of Covid-19, delivery was entirely digital, a first in the Netherlands.
Dura Vermeer has sold the DuPont development to Rasmala Investment Bank Limited (“Rasmala”) in 2019. The DuPont building is located in the Leiden Bio Science Park, and comprises a total lettable floor area of approximately 6,600 sqm divided in approximately 4,000 sqm laboratory space and approximately 2,600 sqm office space and 108 parking spaces. The property is fully let to Genencor International B.V., a subsidiary of the American chemical group DuPont.
Carlo Widev, Project Manager at Savills in the Netherlands, says: “Despite these difficult times, we would like to congratulate our client Rasmala and developer/builder Dura Vermeer on the delivery of this remarkable project. Hopefully, the circumstances will allow for a festive opening to be organised in the near future, which does justice to the hard work that has been done by all parties involved."
Rasmala Investment Bank Limited was advised by Savills (commercial and technical) and DLA Piper during the acquisition. Savills was also appointed for the project monitoring during the realisation and will continue to manage the property on behalf of Rasmala.
