Savills advises on sale of 60,000 sq m warehouse in Waalwijk, The Netherlands

A German open ended fund, advised by Savills, has successfully sold an approximately 60,000 sq m warehouse located at the Van Hilststraat 23 in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, to M&G Real Estate for an undisclosed sum.

The property comprises a total area of 58,343 sq m and is currently fully let to global supply chain manager Syncreon. The warehouse has excellent access to the A59 motorway and is connected to the port of Moerdijk by the Bergsche Maas river. Nearby occupiers include Ingram Micro, Bol.com and SPAR. The Tilburg-Waalwijk area is ranked as the top logistics hotspot in the Netherlands in 2019 (based on accessibility, available labour force and available land / warehouses).

Douglas van Oers, Co-Head Logistics & Industrial of Savills in the Netherlands, comments: “This sale represented a rare opportunity to acquire a grade-A warehouse at a prime location, a highly sought after product. We therefore expected this sale to attract a lot of (international) interest, and it didn’t disappoint, as we achieved an excellent result for our client.”

The vendor was advised by Savills, NewGround Law and Baker & McKenzie. M&G Real Estate was advised by Industrial Real Estate Partners and CMS.
