As from today the renovation of the Eastpoint office building at G.H. Betzweg 1 in Rotterdam will start. The coming months the approximately 5,500 sq m building will be transformed in to an exclusive office opportunity, which is located near the highway A20 and on the 'Rotterdam Alexander' train station. After the sustainable renovation, which will be completed in Spring 2018, Eastpoint will offer modern workplaces, new side and main entrance and facade.

On the instruction of Bryant Park Netherlands Acquisition I B.V., following the architectural design of architect Laura Alvarez, Savills Building & Project Consultancy carries out the project management of Eastpoint. During this project, Savills manages the design team, supervises the tendering process and construction activities. The assignment comprises: an extension of the plinth and complete renovation of the façade, including the main entrance. A large open space will be created, connecting the first floor to the upgraded main entrance. In addition, a new entrance will be added and there will be a complete full shell renovation all workplaces, whereby the larger window openings in the façade and new window frames will provide more daylight, a more pleasant workplace and an upgrade of the energy label (A).

Marc van Niekerken: “During this renovation we will re-use certain components, like installations, parts of the façade and construction, as the team involved in this renovation is very aware of the responsibility of reducing our footprint.”
