Dublin’s Got Talent, a talent show fundraiser organised by property consultants, Savills Ireland, will return to the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin on Thursday 26 October. All proceeds will go the national mental health charity Aware.

Mary Byrne, who starred in the hit ITV show, X Factor in 2010, was in Dublin today to launch the 4th instalment of the popular event which has a similar format to Britain’s Got Talent. Since its inception in 2014, Dublin’s Got Talent has generated more than EUR 150,000 for Irish charities including Focus Ireland, the Childhood Cancer Foundation, and the Children’s Medical Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

This year, the beneficiary of funds raised on the night, will be Aware - the national organisation providing support, education and information services around depression, bipolar and related mood disorders. Savills is calling on anyone who would like to take part or attend the event, to contact dgt@savills.ie or visit www.savills.ie

Mary Byrne of X Factor fame will lead a star-studded panel of judges on the night, including Eurovision winner Linda Martin, and rugby analyst and children’s book author, Brent Pope.

Dominic Layden, CEO at Aware commented:

“We are delighted to have been chosen as charity partner for ‘Dublin’s Got Talent’. Corporate donations and fundraising account for 75% of our annual funding so we really depend on the generosity of organisations like Savills to provide the important services that we deliver throughout the country. Our services focus on supporting those affected by depression and bipolar but also on delivering information and education programmes to empower people to look after their mental health and work towards preventing mental illness. We would like to thank Savills for recognising the important work of Aware and helping us to continue to provide services that make a real difference in people’s lives.”

Roland O’Connell, Chairman, Savills Ireland commented:

“Of all the fundraising initiatives Savills has engaged over the years, Dublin Got Talent has been the most rewarding in terms of the money we have been able to secure for a number of very worthy causes. This year, we are delighted to partner with Aware. The work they do to support those with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues is so important, and we are delighted to support them by donating all proceeds generated on the night.”
