Savills, on behalf of the landlord, has signed new lease agreements at the Byzantium office building in the city center of Amsterdam, fully leasing the property just six months after acquisition.
Tenant Maatschap Bingh Advocaten have renewed their 315 sq m lease agreement, recommitting to the Byzantium building for long-term. Tenant Bloomberg have extended their lease agreement, now totalling approximately 925 sq m of office space.
The Byzantium office building has also attracted a new tenant. SH Kelkar and Company Limited have signed a lease agreement comprising approximately 850 sq m of office space.
The mixed use Byzantium complex (comprising 2,600 sq m office space and 2,045 sq m of retail space) was built in 1991 and designed by the renowned architect Rem Koolhaas (OMA). The property is located on the Stadhouderskade, next to the entrance of the Vondelpark, near the Leidseplein.
Mans Vroom, Associate Director Agency at Savills Netherlands, comments:
“We are proud to have successfully leased the last available office space for our client, so shortly after the acquisition and our appointment as letting agent. In addition to the new lease agreements the landlord is planning an extensive renovation of the entrance area, future proofing the building for its tenants.”
