Savills has appointed Larry Brennan as Chair of their Continental European Retail Group. Brennan, currently marking his 25th year with the firm, will be responsible for driving Savills retail service offering in the core European markets of Spain, Germany and France, and identifying partnership associates to help service other key markets such as Italy, Turkey, Russia and Scandinavia. 

Commenting on his appointment, Brennan said;

“Like Ireland, mainland Europe is enjoying a resurgence in retailer demand, with increased activity in all the core markets. Our strength in London, Asia, and now the USA through Savills Studley, gives us extensive international retailer access, which we will leverage to grow our European presence. There is also a great opportunity to open the Irish market to new brands and retail concepts, which will be an area of particular focus for me.”

Larry joined Savills Ireland (then Hamilton Osborne King) in June 1990. He was promoted to Associate Director in April 1996 and appointed to the Board of Directors in 1998. In January 2010, he was appointed Chairman for a four year term. He will continue is his role as Head of Retail in Ireland in addition to taking on this new role.
