Built in 2007, the award winning 4 star hotel overlooks the River Shannon and is within short walking distance of Limerick’s main shopping, entertainment and business districts. It is also highly regarded as a base for all of Limericks major sporting events due to its close proximity to Páirc na nGael – home to the Limerick hurling and football teams, and Thomond Park – the home of Munster Rugby.

The hotel features 184 spacious bedrooms – all with full air conditioning – several bars & restaurants, extensive conference & banqueting facilities and a modern leisure club with approx. 900 members. Thomond Park (capacity c. 26,000), home to Munster Rugby, celebrates many highlights throughout the sporting calendar and remains a long standing attraction for the wider region. According to Trending.ie, the Strand Hotel outperformed Limerick RevPAR by over 80% in 2013.
