The town has expanded rapidly over the years and is recognised as a commuter destination. It benefits from great proximity to the N25 Cork to Waterford Road and has a regular train service to Cork City.
Philip Gavin of Talbot Hotels said, “As the only hotel in Midleton, with a population of over 12,000, this hotel serves as a very important facility for the local community. We are making a long term commitment to the hotel and Midleton, and we are already investing in the hotels facilities in order to ensure an excellent customer experience.”
According to Denis O’Donoghue of Savills; “The sale of Midleton Park Hotel is a good indicator of the strong domestic interest in Irish hotel assets. The hotel market continues to recover, driven by a 6% increase in tourism numbers in 2013 and increasing consumer confidence. We expect 2014 to be another very busy year for hotel sales.”
