Savills Ireland is delighted to announce the launch of our flagship residential office on 20 Dawson Street, Dublin 2.
The new office signals our re-investment into the Residential property market in Ireland and demonstrates our confidence in the recovery of the market and the Irish economy as a whole.
Recent reports from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) indicate property prices were up nationwide by 2.3% compared to July 2012. Savills is reporting price increases of up to 20% in some prime residential neighbourhoods in Dublin. This increase is partly driven by a severe shortage of properties for sale.
Graham Murray, Head of Residential said, “The Dublin market has changed significantly over the past 12 months. We have gone from wondering if the bottom will ever come, to a market that has risen by over 15%. In some areas of the Dublin market, where levels of demand are high but supply is very tight, this figure has already been surpassed. The opening of our new branch is a testament to our strongly held belief that there are signs of recovery in Ireland’s property market and although the road to recovery may be a long one – at least we know we are on the right path”.
Savills Residential is a premium, bespoke estate agency, specialising at the middle to top end of the residential market in the City Centre, South and North County Dublin and Cork.
Savills has a long-held reputation for selling some of the finest Country Houses in Ireland as well as a respected expertise in the New Homes sector. Through Savills PLC we are the only global agency operating in the Irish market and as such can place our clients’ homes in front of thousands of expat and international buyers. To date in 2013, these purchasers have accounted for almost 20% of our sales.
The new Dawson Street office will be home to the Central residential team, the Country Homes team and New Homes team.
